Do I need to create a product for every variation of a design? For example, do I need to create a product for every shirt color and design I want for a design? I would like for my website to just show one variation of the design and then the customer can select the shirt color and style.
You do not need to create multiple product variations for the same product. Any product you create on tshirtgang can be ordered on any style, color, and size. However, there may be times when a product won't work a specific color, for example, black text on a white shirt. If you select a black shirt, the lettering will still be black, so an alternate variation of this product may be required, but isn't mandatory.
On your website, a customer can order any style, color, and size of their choosing with the product you uploaded. Have a look at the landing page of your product and play around with the style and color combinations.
