Today we are excited about an upcoming feature, Bitcoin!
This feature I am personally excited about, offering bitcoin at checkout! It's hard to ignore the fact Bitcoin has headlines over the last couple of years and becoming more and more common for online transactions. We understand cryptocurrency isn't for everyone, and some of you may have never even heard of cryptocurrencies or Bitcoin before, that's why Coinbase Commerce makes it so easy! Let us explain.
What is cryptocurrency / Bitcoin anyways?
Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies, are decentralized, money-free currencies that do not rely on a third-party bank. Transactions are made to and from individuals or businesses, anywhere around the world, without the need for a bank to transfer the funds. Think of Bitcoin as another form of currency, much like USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, etc.
At launch, we will accept: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dai (DAI), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), USD Coin (USDC). These are subject to change at any time.
Isn't Bitcoin really expensive?
This is the great part about Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies, you can own a fraction of the whole coin. For example, 1 BTC = $57,580 USD (at the time of writing). However, you can buy a fraction of a bitcoin, let's say, $30 USD worth, or 0.0005205 BTC.

How do you get started?
For simplicity sake, we recommend using www.coinbase.com to get started. It is one of the most popular exchanges on the web and accepts a wide variety of payment options. If you already have a coinbase, or other bitcoin account, you can skip this section.
Once you have signed up to coinbase.com and verified your identity, now you can buy bitcoin with your preferred financial institution.
How do I pay for Tshirtgang.com orders with cryptocurrency?
When you have an order in your Tshirtgang.com Shopping Cart, an option to choose Bitcoin will be visible beside PayPal. Click on this Bitcoin button to reveal a button that forwards you to the payment page:
Choose the cryptocurrency you are paying with, for this example, we'll be choosing Bitcoin.
After clicking Bitcoin, you'll be presented with a QR code that you can scan with the Coinbase app on your phone
or a bitcoin address you can copy and paste into the 'send to wallet' address on the exchange of your choosing.
Enter the correct bitcoin amount that is shown on the screen, in the example shown, that amount is 0.00024089, but your amount will vary.
Process the transaction by clicking Send on your device or browser.
You should be presented with a screen alerting you the transaction is successfully sent and is awaiting verification.
During this time, the order will have cleared your Tshirtgang Shopping Cart and placed into a "Payment Pending" status. Once the Bitcoin transaction is verified, your order will automatically be updated to "Paid" status on Tshirtgang and your order will process as normal.
That's it! You successfully sent a Bitcoin payment to Tshirtgang!

- At the top of the site, click the blue "Buy / Sell" button
